This morning, I went down to Whiteley Village in Hersham. I visited Whiteley back in February (as blogged here), so today was a useful visit to hear about the progress being made on the new care hub.
I sat down with CEO Chandra McGowan and Chair of Whiteley Homes Peter Wilkinson to discuss some of the strategic challenges for Whiteley going forward. In particular, we discussed how to make best use of the estate and its facilities, and GP support for residents.
I also had the opportunity to meet with Whiteley’s newest resident 98-year old Ernest Taylor-Dickenson. Ernest and I chatted about how he is settling in, and enjoying the care and community spirit at Whiteley.
