Last week in Westminster, I spoke in the Levelling up and Regeneration Bill.
I welcomed the government’s work through this Bill to make it easier for planning authorities like Elmbridge Borough Council to adopt a Local Plan.
Lib Dem-led Elmbridge Borough Council have failed to get a Local Plan in place for years, leaving our Borough exposed to inappropriate development – like the controversial Jolly Boatman site near Hampton Court, which is so bitterly opposed by the local community.
