Recently, I stopped by the Elmbridge CAN weekly meet-up in Cobham to speak with Ukrainian refugees recently settled in Elmbridge.
I listened to how I can offer my support in finding work, long-term housing which is affordable, and a local football club for 7-year-old Davide. I will be following up with my ministerial colleagues to help our local refugee community start to build their lives across the borough.
Elmbridge CAN offer weekly meetups at their Cobham hub located at St Andrew’s Church every Monday between 1:15pm and 2:30pm. These meetups are an opportunity for networking and support for newly arrived Ukrainians, their hosts, and any other refugees in Elmbridge.
