On Friday, I headed over to the Emberbrook Community Health Centre in Thames Ditton. I met with Joe Todd (Managing Director of the Glenlyn Medical Group, which runs the centre) and Heather Chatwin, the Business Manager.
Nine months ago, the centre was put out of action by a fire – so it was great to see it back, fully operational and with new clinical space. After hearing about this process, I also spoke to Joe and Heather about the pressure facing local GPs amidst increased demand for appointments. It was encouraging to hear that the centre will be providing 60,000 extra appointments for patients across East Elmbridge.
