Last week, my local business catch up took me to Hersham, where I visited local businesses along the High Street and in the Hersham Green Shopping Centre.
It was valuable to discuss the plans by Quadrant to redevelop the shopping centre and the need for local consultation. I have been working closely with independent retailers in Hersham to ensure they are consulted as soon as possible - to give their businesses enough time to plan ahead.
I enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, and also meeting some new ones, to hear what more we can do to boost our independent retailers, restaurants and cafes.
