It was great to visit two local projects bidding for funding from “Your Fund Surrey” on Friday.
Your Fund Surrey is a £100m fund, set up by Surrey County Council to give financial backing to projects which will enhance a local area.
There are two such projects at the Leg o’ Mutton site in Cobham. Together with local councillor David Lewis and Cobham Chamber of Commerce Chair Alistair Mann, I heard about plans to renovate both the skatepark and Cobham Football Club.
These projects have great potential to improve the facilities for young people while drawing in more of the local community. This would make a real difference in Cobham and is exactly what Your Fund Surrey was set up to support and I will be giving both my backing.
