Thank you to the Surrey County Council officers who came to meet me and Councillor Steve Bax, alongside parent, Jim Davidson, Chair of Governors, Graham Lovelace, and Headteacher, Damian Tucker, at St Lawrence School to discuss road safety on Church Road.
We discussed a range of options to help keep St Lawrence pupils safe as they travel to and from school, and it is good news that funding is available to implement the chosen scheme this financial year so we will fix the problem.
It is important that local residents are consulted about any changes to the road where they are living, so Surrey County Council will be approaching residents directly to give their views and ensure any solution works for the school and residents alike.
