Earlier today I held the latest meeting of Connect, my local business group – a more regular occasion now that we can meet in person again.
The meeting was a useful opportunity to get local feedback on the recent Budget and Spending Review, which included welcome news for businesses such as further business rates discounts next year.
I also spoke to the attendees about my work at the Ministry of Justice and other government priorities, including the ongoing negotiations with the EU over the operation of the Northern Ireland Protocol.
