It was good to see the new data on vaccinations on Thursday, which showed that 47,069 Elmbridge residents have now received at least one dose of a Coronavirus vaccine.
This encouraging progress is thanks to the impressive work of the Surrey Heartlands CCG, including the teams at the East Elmbridge and Walton vaccination centres. The CCG is now urging people aged 50 and over to book their vaccination slots as soon as possible. You can read more about this here.
Across the UK, over 27.6 million people – more than half of the adult population – have been vaccinated, helping to cut infection rates and reduce the spread of the virus.
